Another Project

(Ginger bread houses built by my daughter for the first time.
the house on the left is a school project...uh, too much decoration?!)

How was your weekend? It's been so quick as always, but especially a WEEKEND 10 days before Christmas is extremely stressful!! (lol)
We had my hubby's family Christmas party Saturday (we usually have family-get-together a couple weeks before Christmas) and most of our family member showed up. I don't even remember the last time I saw some of them... I feel so bad not having seen them more often than we should. Kids have grown so much and some of tots are able to talk a lot and show their cute personality!!! One of our nieces is expecting another baby in May and we are so excited about it. Although such a recession time, we were all fine and able to bring food to share and gifts for little ones, and fun games to play as one big family.
No matter what we are dealing with every day, we should make time to contact each other more often and make our distance closer. It was very nice time and I really had a good time.

Then today I did not want to do anything special since we were out all day yesterday, so I tried to stay home and started this project. Guess what I am making now!
I have never tried "tumbler" shape of quilt before, so I wanted to make something with this design. This tumbler block is almost three inches tall so it was so easy to put them together. I sewed them by sewing machine. Very quick and I think I'm hooked this cute shape!! Needless to say, of course, I used all scraps for this.

Here is the other part of this project and I chose just a simple squares for this side and diamond quilt lines. (almost done)

Well, this is another crochet I just finished the other day. This will be "holiday" gift for my daughter's teacher. Hope she will like it.

Last but not least, Valerie at Pumpkin Patch Quilter, one of my favorite quilters has nominated 5 "Kreativ Blogger" in her blog and she included me!! Thank you so much, Valerie!! It is very honorable for me to be recognized like this. Blogging and updating my blog is sometimes too much, but this wonderful recognition and friendship make me get going. Thanks!!

Well I am supposed to choose 5 inspiring quilters in the blog land, however, there are way more than 5 great people I am always inspired by. So, please take this "Kreativ Blogger" award for yourself and proud of it!!

Happy quilting!!!

Love the tumbler quilt. I made a table topper for Jessie long time ago with that pattern - it was fun. And the crochet is beautiful. Her teacher will LOVE it!
