One Holiday to Another

How was your Thanksgiving holiday?
It was very nice and relaxing 4 day weekend for me. The weather was not bad at all. No snow yet. I have not gone Christmas shopping yet. I even stayed home all day on black Friday. I don't know why but I just don't care for shopping... It is always hard to think about gifts for people who have almost everything they need. Making hand made gifts is a little bit easier, but I have not prepared early enough to finish several items. So, I am having a hard time this year again, just running out of time until Christmas... Never learn the lesson...

Here is the scrap tote that I finished during this holiday. I put the inside pocket too. I'm proud of myself using all scraps (no new fabric!!). I quilted with a black perle cotton thread. I tried to sew big stitches for more primitive look. This is completely my original design and I am so pleased the outcome. Just a lovely and cozy look and touch. I just love flannels...

I also made this small pouch with Christmas fabrics. I wanted to make something with a zipper, so I just made it.

Today is December 1?! so only 24 days until Christmas???
WOW, I had better hurry up deciding what I'm going to get for my family and friends for Christmas. Wish time would go a little bit slowly...
