Hope everyone is having a nice new year holiday.
It's been cold but very nice day today. The sky is fairly blue and quiet out there. I still see some geese staying around here wondering when they can take off to the south. It is very unusual weather lately. Just unbelievable not having snow at all on the new year's day.
As I mentioned in the last post, I've been cutting scraps into squares and strips. So far I finished one of the three scrap bags and made ten small freezer bags of them. I saved larger but smaller than FQ fabrics in a shoe box.
I am just wondering whether I should keep cutting scraps into squares and stripes or start making quilts first before move onto the second scrap bag???
I also mentioned the other day about when I started my blog. It was exactly today a year ago!
Then I made my resolution shortly after that. I completed at least one of them (lol) and some of them are already berried underground (lol!!). I even thought that my taste of fabric has changed quite a bit for the last couple of years and any fabrics that I bought before then is not my range any more. So any UFOs that were made a few years ago don't impress me much and I don't feel like working on them, but I will keep them to be finished someday.
Speaking a new resolution about quilt project, I will keep working on the on-going BOMs and reduce stash. They are almost permanent goal for me.
I also happened to find Gill's site (That British Woman). She is suggesting a wonderful tip for money saving, starting just a quarter a day!! You can check it out for more details. I've already started saving 25 cents today!!!!! Hurray!!!! You never know what those money will be fore at the end of this year, so just relax and enjoy doing it (at least I will try).
It's been a quiet new year's day and I just finished one small doily (the picture will be posted soon) while watching football games. Since I will be off until this weekend, I will start using those squares and stripes in the bags. Just wait and see what I will make.....
Happy quilting!

Sounds like a great day. I'd be making quilts - but I'm not big on keeping little scraps of fabric. Or big pieces really. Have a wonderful day!

Oh your start on strips and squares is wonderful. I"d start a new project and work on doing more cutting! Just follow what your mood tells you!

I need to get my scraps organized like you are doing! I save every little bit too because I love those string quilts - they are fascinating. Saw some string tulips done the other day and they were awesome. Happy blog anniversary and happy new year! Can't wait to see what you are doing next in 2009, Tak.
I just wanted to wish you a very happy anniversary, my 1st anniversary isn't until May.
Time does fly by in the blogging world doesn't it?
