Hide & Seek?!

It happened to me all of sudden....
I just did not feel like dealing with blog for a while. I checked news and updates for domestic and international affairs on the internet every day, but not other blogs or even quilt stuff.

Remember, my work hours have been cut from 5 days to 4 days a week since January. It's been bitter sweet days for me. I'm off Fridays so I have more time to do anything I want, but I have not done anything special. I just lost my energy (I hate to say I feel depressed... not that serious, I believe).

While my feeling has been down, this cow family has been acting as cheer leaders for me. (lol)
Last Saturday my daughter had "Father and Daughter Dance party" as the Girl scout event. The theme for the party this year was "animal". Of course they could not decide what they would like to be until the last minute and luckily we found her cow costume at a local costume shop just a couple days before the party. As for the adult cow costume for my hubby with that XL size?! No hope... So I ended up making the fancy looking costume for him!!!!

I cut out the patter on the white and black fleece on Friday afternoon and finished on Saturday morning. (I gook some sleep though). As I was working on the top, the cow family hopeful gave me some suggestions about the costume like this!!!

See the one on the bottom left one? It has body pierce on it. Can you imagine I was stitching those four teats onto the circle in the middle of night?! Alone???!!! then I was so happy to finish and pleased with the outcome! I even made the cap with ears with ID tag on it!!!

Of course the daddy & daughter cows had a blast at the party and other animals really loved the art of the costume. Some animal families even approached this daddy cow to try milking!!! (lol)

Anyway, this is what I've been up to since the last post.
No quilting has been done and I started one project but part of the pattern (dimension) was missing and I lost my interest since.

Although my feeling has been down to the bottom but having an extra day off every week is nice! So maybe when the temperature goes up and more sunshine is coming through the clouds, I will feel okey and more desire for quilt will come back, I hope.
Until then I will try to update here, but not very often...
Thank you all for stopping by to check on me and hope I will be back to normal soon.

Happy quilting!

Hi Tak,

I can share your feelings as this month I'm off two days a month without pay starting this month. I feel fortunate to still be working but its tough to get over the strange feelings of so many things - work piling up, the sense of loss that keeps me from working on things I enjoy, that "putting one foot in front of the other process" just to get through the day. I'm trying to look at this as an adjustment and try to count my blessings. Hang in there, my friend, I'm thinking of you.

Right there with 'ya! Down in the dumps about blogging and realizing the time I have during my midday I end up doing ...nothing! I beleive a walk would be a good daily thing! ..but I get up sooo early in the morning 4:50am and my 11pm I'm just pooped out. the vicious cyle continues and I get my second wind and feel so happy when at 2 when my highschoolers step aboard! My projects go on the way side! I want to share in the blog, but then I feel like I'm complaining and I'm not- it just is what it is! OH, how cute are the COWS..what a hoot!

The outfits are great. I'm glad to see you are posting again. I think we all are a little down. I have a feeling when the weather warms up and we can see some sunshine that will help us all just a little bit...and every little bit helps. Take care and keep smiling.
